Continuing Series in the Life of a Pastoral Care Pastor
April 16, 2010 – Friday; Last night I slept in my bed…good nights sleep. Of course my alarm clock went off at 6:30, I patted her on the head and said just one more minute…about a minute she was back so up I got up and helped her take care of business. Later in the morning had to go to church in order to meet some with the family as we put the final touches on the funeral service for Saturday and I was serving communion to the pre-school and school teachers and staff. Pastor Paul and Pastor Tony helped as we served them some communion juice grown and bottled in Cana of Galilee. Had lunch with them before returning home to take care of little Penny and relax before returning to help decorate the worship center and the reception area for the funeral and reception tomorrow. The family brought about 15 people with them to decorate and set up for the service so it didn’t take as long as I thought. Lynn Eisele was there guiding all the activity…she has a great servant heart and loves doing ministry. Not sure I could have accomplished all that needed to be done without her…then on to home, dinner and a walk in the rain with my dog as she needed to have some outside time. Did some finishing touches on my message for the funeral and now off too bed…
