Continuing Series in the Life of a Pastoral Care Pastor

April 15, 2010 – Thursday; Today I start back home after a short visit with some close friends. As I prayed today the Lord said that the purpose of the visit was twofold…First for Carl and the team at the satellite church and second for Pastor Bud the senior pastor. Words God gave me like patience and trust and relationship all resonated in both groups; patience that God was really doing a great work for the people at the satellite location and trust in Him to accomplish the work in His time not theirs. As He builds relationships among the leaders His Will can be worked out better for the people He wants to reach. Carl and I talked as we ate breakfast and drove to the airport. It was a very good flight home…Southwest is a good airline and on time or early. I love the way they allow you on the plane…no assigned seating but done in a very orderly way. Yes I will fly Southwest Airlines again.
