Continuing Series in the Life of a Pastoral Care Pastor

April 28, 2010 – Wednesday: Back to normal with my little alarm clock. I guess she is happy. Went to the office this morning to help a lady with benevolence and then had a couple with marital problems right after that meeting. Had some time with them and God showed up in a big way and some relief came into this relationship. Will have several more meetings with them but communication seemed to be the real key. Pastor Paul was seeing a man also with marriage difficulties and they wanted me to sit in on some of the discussion. Afterwards Paul and I went to visit a lady who is suffering from cancer and needs an operation this Friday. Her neighbor, who comes to our church, volunteered me to come and anoint her with oil and pray the prayer of faith over her. So, Paul and I went and had a good meeting with the family before we prayed. I traveled back home and picked up my lovely wife so we could return to church and teach our Wednesday evening class. Had dinner on the way and the class went great. Arrived back home near 9. I was supposed to be on vacation today…guess I will have to take it another time…PTL.
