Continuing Series in the Life of a Pastoral Care Pastor

April 14, 2010 – Wednesday; this morning I slept in as my alarm clock was not at my location. I slept until 7 AM Louisiana time, which is 8 AM at home. Had a relaxing day as Carl showed me his church which is in a great location right on a main road where 100,000 plus cars come by each day. They are still working on the inside but are holding services each Sunday. They are getting ready for the growth explosion that God will be bringing to them in the near future. I played a round of golf with Carl’s senior pastor. He is young man who has a vision to reach the lost and is moving toward opening a nice church in a great location. We talked about many things throughout the day as he asked plenty of questions about what we do at our church and I spoke into him about trust and relationships among many other things. All in all we had a wonderful day and he appreciated my visit. BTW I shot very good and hit the ball very solid all day. Later when Kenna got home we went to dinner and had some seafood. Returned home and looked at some photos as we got caught up in each other’s lives. Tired and looking forward to some sleep…
