Continuing Series in the Life of a Pastoral Care Pastor

May 2, 2010, – Sunday: Home after a very nice weekend in New York celebrating my grandbabies 16th birthday. We (Jeanette, Amber, myself and Kelsey the birthday girl) left Friday morning early on the Mega Bus from DC. Did some sightseeing and then took a cab to a great restaurant where the locals eat…Named Vincent’s the Original. The sauce is out of this world good and the service was great. We took the train back to Times Square before turning in for some sleep before a busy Saturday. On Saturday the girls did some shopping and looking at all the sights before returning to the room so we could freshen up before the Broadway play Mamma Mia. It was great and when we left the theater we found out that Times Square was closed because of a bomb scare…it was a little scary looking at an empty Times Square…betcha never seen that before….then back to the room for some sleep before returning to good old Virginia. We took the Mega Bus from Penn Station and just as we entered Maryland if broke down. We had to wait for almost 2 hours for a bus to arrive to continue us on our journey. Our daughter and son-n-law picked us up and had some food waiting for us…very nice. Now back home relaxing and getting ready for Monday…see everyone then.
